About the position

The Accountant at Prosperity Behavioral Healthcare Consulting LLC is responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff. The position requires a strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, along with proficiency in accounting software and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complete accounting cycle including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (GL).
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, reviewing journal entries and investigating discrepancies.
• Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in accounting or finance roles.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA certification (Preferred)
• Experience in healthcare accounting (1 year preferred)
• Ability to commute to Palm Springs, FL.
