About the position

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a non-profit organization, ensuring accurate financial management and compliance with federal grant requirements. This role involves managing a team and requires strong expertise in accounting practices, particularly in the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day and routine accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Oversee a team to ensure their success in accounting operations.
• Prepare and analyze A-133 audits.
• Manage Federal Grant Management Accounting processes.
• Utilize SAGE Accounting and Grant Management Systems effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Not For Profit accounting.
• Prior experience with Federal Grant Management Accounting.
• Experience with A-133 audit preparation and analysis.
• Prior management experience required.
