About the position

Nation Security is seeking a data-driven accountant to join their team. This role is integral to maintaining the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and utilizing QuickBooks for tracking financial transactions. The company values problem-solving skills, organization, attention to detail, and efficiency in time management.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payment to employees.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify that transactions are accurately recorded in the correct daybook, supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, record maintenance, and generate financial reports.
• Ensure efficient processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant, or a similar role.
• Must demonstrate exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, and basic accounting systems.
