Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant with experience in project cost management and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring project budgets, preparing detailed cost reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This position offers flexibility with a predominantly remote work environment and the potential for long-term opportunities.
Responsibilities
Analyze project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Monitor and report on project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for management review.
Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Update and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audits related to project accounting.
Identify areas for process improvement within the project accounting function.
Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost reporting.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of accounting experience within manufacturing.
Experience in cost accounting on the production side.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems.
Skills in budgeting and forecasting.
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible schedule with the option to work predominantly remotely, coming into the office as needed.
