About the position

The Accounting Administrator at Tyson Foods is responsible for managing payroll functions and providing accounting support to the Plant Controller. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can effectively multitask and communicate with various levels of management. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and assisting with accounting tasks to support the plant's operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist plant supervision with daily and weekly time and attendance activities using SAP Payroll.
• Monitor plant time analytics in SAP Payroll, ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
• Provide training to new supervisors on payroll processes as necessary.
• Process approved vacation, holiday, and sick pay accurately into the payroll system.
• Address Team Members' payroll questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports for the Plant Controller.
• Assist the Controller with plant variance information for upload into SAP.
• Provide support to the plant management team, including monitoring processes in production areas.
• Assist in self-audits of critical processes as determined by corporate accounting.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks such as records retention, entering PO receiving in SAP/Coupa, and supporting HR with plant activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years' payroll experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including using a Tyson Business Computer System as well as Microsoft Office & Excel, SAP preferred.
• Written and verbal communication skills to communicate with all levels of management.
