About the position

The Accounting Advisory Manager (Technical Project Delivery) at Cherry Bekaert is responsible for leading organizational change and delivery leadership for multiple clients. This role focuses on process optimization and strategic projects, requiring a blend of technical expertise and change management skills. The manager will assess the current state of clients' Corporate Accounting and Finance departments and guide them towards their desired future state, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with technical resources on multiple clients to deliver services and navigate improvement opportunities.
  • Implement solutions to create value within client organizations.
  • Conduct cultural assessments of clients' Corporate Accounting and Finance departments.
  • Define and communicate a strategic vision and change journey for clients.
  • Gather information and opinions from key stakeholders and users to inform project direction.
  • Generate short-term wins to build momentum for change initiatives.
  • Ground changes in corporate culture to ensure sustainability of improvements.
  • Facilitate content development and deliver training to users undergoing change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Recognized change management certification such as CCMP or Prosci.
  • 6-8 years of experience in public accounting or consulting, combined with industry experience in a middle-market accounting or finance organization.
  • Strong communication skills to resonate with internal and external accountants.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Project management skills to track activities and execution.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for firm meetings and client site visits up to 40%.

  • Experience in financial services, industrial & consumer goods, private equity, professional services, real estate, construction & hospitality, technology, or life sciences.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
