About the position

The Accounting Analyst at BlueOval SK will play a crucial role in the start-up team, responsible for various accounting functions as the company establishes its new battery manufacturing facilities. This position involves performing month-end close activities, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with other departments to improve operational processes. The role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities including accruals of inventory-related activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Billing for sales and analysis of results.
• Report detailed analysis of financial data.
• Collaborate with other departments for operational issues and process improvement.
• Coordinate year-end physical inventory count.
• Analyze general ledger account data for accuracy and adjust accounts if necessary.
• Maintain cost allocation methodology for direct and indirect expenditures.
• Work with external auditors quarterly and at year-end, providing audit work papers and supporting documentation.
• Support analytics for strategic decisions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills necessary to review/analyze accounting and financial data.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous manufacturing experience in SAP working with a plant would be a plus.
• Fluency in Korean would be a plus.
