The Accounting and Audit Manager at Aniles and Company, CPA Firm, plays a crucial role in delivering a wide array of accounting, auditing, and consulting services to a diverse clientele, which includes healthcare entities, not-for-profit organizations, commercial companies, state and local government entities, real estate firms, retail businesses, and professional services. This position is pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships while also overseeing and supporting the accounting team in their daily operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and auditing requirements. In this role, the Manager is responsible for assigning and auditing the work of the accounting staff, developing and implementing accounting systems, and ensuring the quality and compliance of the work performed by the team. The Manager will also provide technical support to both the team and clients, design and implement new programs to enhance accounting accuracy, and conduct special projects as needed. Evaluating the performance and growth of subordinates is a key responsibility, which includes interviewing, selecting, and assessing department personnel, as well as initiating promotions or disciplinary actions when necessary. The Manager will onboard new clients, develop work plans, and monitor project deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness. They will serve as a liaison between clients and auditors, supervise basic accounting procedures, and prepare financial statements and supporting schedules. Additionally, the Manager will analyze client financial performance, build strong relationships with client management and board members, and work closely with senior management to adapt to changing client needs.
