About the position

The Accounting and Finance Intern position at altafiber is designed for candidates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. This role involves supporting the Accounting and Finance Department by assisting in various accounting functions, including the preparation of financial reports and analyses, contributing to the monthly close process, and participating in special projects. The internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced environment while developing essential skills in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of reports that are filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including quarterly financial statements (Form 10-Q), annual financial statements (Form 10-K), employee benefit plans (Form 11-K) and other reports
• Perform various analyses of the Company's financial results
• Assist with the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Candidate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• No previous job experience, certification, licenses, or other experiences required
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
