The Accounting/HR Manager position is a dual-role opportunity that combines the responsibilities of managing both accounting and human resources functions within a dynamic industrial machinery and equipment manufacturing facility. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and the effective management of employee-related processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of monthly and yearly financial reporting, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and compliant with regulations. This includes managing the company's bank accounts, performing reconciliations, handling journal entries, and overseeing all tax-related activities, including rent and loan payments. Additionally, the Accounting/HR Manager will oversee payroll functions and serve as the direct liaison with the CPA firm to ensure all financial matters are handled efficiently. In the human resources aspect of the role, the Accounting/HR Manager will maintain employee files and manage Job Boss profiles, ensuring that all hiring, firing, and status change paperwork is completed accurately. The role also involves conducting new employee orientations and managing FMLA and disability paperwork, as well as worker's compensation filings. The manager will act as a liaison with temporary agencies and handle all related paperwork, addressing employee-related issues and documentation as they arise. Furthermore, the manager will oversee apprenticeship paperwork and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring that all policies are up to date and compliant with current regulations. The position also requires managing employee enrollments and changes related to insurance, as well as maintaining and reconciling all insurance-related general ledger accounts. The Accounting/HR Manager will be integral in discussions and decision-making processes during insurance renewals and will serve as the direct liaison with the insurance advisor and other related individuals. This role is crucial for transmitting information on plan changes to employees and addressing any issues that may arise with insurance plan members.
