About the position

The Accounting Assistant with HR knowledge plays a vital role in the daily operations of Sky Mart Sales Corp., a family-owned supplier in the aviation industry. This position involves managing various accounting administrative tasks and supporting HR activities, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about the company's operations while interacting with all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting administrative items such as general ledger entries and cash receipts.
  • Handle check deposits and accounts receivable (AR) management.
  • Oversee AR collection and accounts payable (AP) management.
  • Process client credit card application requests and payments.
  • Assist and back up the administrative assistant with various tasks.
  • Perform basic HR activities and maintain compliance with personnel files.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Accounting/bookkeeping background is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and resolve issues quickly.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Basic accounting experience preferred.
  • HR experience preferred.
