About the position
The Accounting Assistant position is a temporary to permanent role within a dynamic construction company. The primary focus of this role is to support the accounting operations by managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing pre liens, and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess relevant experience in accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and process pre liens and related documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Desktop
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly closing activities
- Support financial reporting and data entry tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate accounting processes
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is a must
- Familiarity with pre liens and related accounting practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
