About the position

The Accounting Assistant at Cleveland Diagnostics Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the daily functions of the Accounting and Finance department. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards. The role involves providing confidential accounting support across various departments and managing multiple business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support Accounting/Finance Department including purchasing, accounts payable and receivable functions, audit inquiries, credit card reconciliation, and inventory tracking.
  • Capture and create purchasing/receiving and accounts payable supporting documentation for transactions and upload them into the accounting system accurately.
  • Create purchase orders in the accounting system from purchase requisitions from various departments.
  • Place purchase orders with vendors to support operations and lab functions.
  • Manage the company credit card monthly reconciliation by gathering receipts from company card users and preparing the document package.
  • Post transactions in the accounting system with high attention to detail.
  • Provide support to remote Finance department staff members.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute accounting and billing department mail.
  • Prepare incoming & outgoing FedEx shipments for on-site and remote staff members.
  • Order and replenish office supplies inventory.
  • Monitor/screen 6th floor front door activities for visitors and deliveries.
  • Greet visitors and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Perform all assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years accounting and office administrative experience required.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proven track record of maintaining and protecting confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to navigate proficiently in various online portals and platforms.
  • Problem-solving and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional etiquette.
