About the position

The Accounting Associate position at Custom Converting is a part-time role focused on supporting the accounting and administrative functions of a fast-paced manufacturing company. The role involves handling accounts payable, assisting with payroll, and providing general office support, all while ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality in financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Match purchase orders with bills and post in QuickBooks.
  • Schedule and pay bills according to payment terms.
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees.
  • Review HR benefits with new hire employees.
  • Calculate and process payroll hours.
  • Provide general office support, including answering phones, processing mail, greeting guests, and scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate meetings for customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Prepare agendas and financial reports for management meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for the VP/CFO and HR.
  • Support ISO certification efforts.
  • Order supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting software.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks (1 year preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
