About the position

The Accounting Specialist at Elum Designs Inc. is responsible for a variety of financial duties, including full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and maintaining financial records. This hybrid role allows for both in-office and remote work, requiring proficiency in NetSuite and strong computer skills to manage high-volume transactions and reconciliations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own the process of high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable, including 3-way match, reconciliation, and payments via ACH/wire/bill payments.
• Assist in high-volume, full-cycle accounts receivable, including timely invoicing, posting payments, and collections.
• Perform multiple bank and credit card reconciliations and deposits.
• Maintain a cash-flow spreadsheet.
• Process payroll and complete sales commission reports, payments, and notices of payments.
• Enter expense reports and ensure proper allocation.
• Participate in month-end close and proper posting of monthly journal entries.
• Maintain required business documents.
• Prepare sales tax reports for outside CPA.
• Prepare annual 1099s.
• Identify process improvements and document them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
• Experience using NetSuite accounting software.
• Experience processing payroll in ADP Run.
• Experience using sales tax software; Avalara Tax preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with NetSuite (Preferred).
• 3 years of experience in payroll processing (Preferred).
• 3 years of experience in accounts receivable (Required).
