Responsibilities

  • Accurately record all financial transactions of the business, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, which is a comprehensive record of all financial transactions.
  • Reconcile all bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and there are no discrepancies.
  • Track and manage accounts receivable, keeping records of money owed to the company by customers.
  • Manage accounts payable, recording and tracking the money the company owes to vendors, suppliers, and creditors.
  • Process payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Generate various financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide a clear overview of the company's financial health.
  • Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring that each cost is allocated to the appropriate account.
  • Assist in financial analysis by providing data and reports to help management make informed decisions.
  • Stay updated on relevant tax laws and financial regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data, avoiding errors in recording transactions.
  • Utilize accounting software to streamline tasks and maintain organized financial records.
  • Communicate with other members of the financial team and company, as well as with external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities.
  • Keep financial documents organized and maintain an efficient filing system.

Requirements

  • 10 years of verifiable experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience with CPA and accounting software.
  • Strong skills in financial report writing and analysis.
  • Experience in payroll processing and office management.
