Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Utilize financial software such as Sage to streamline accounting processes.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
• Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with Sage is a plus.
• Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and processing.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
