About the position

The Donations/Accounting Coordinator role at a reputable non-profit organization in Tucson involves managing and tracking donations, coordinating with the database, and generating reports. This contract position is expected to last 3-6 months with the possibility of extension and offers a hybrid work model after initial training, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track donations in the system, Donor Perfect.
  • Generate and set up reports based on donation data.
  • Act as a point of contact for donor inquiries and follow-ups.
  • Utilize tech-savvy skills to maximize the efficiency of the system.
  • Apply experience with Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, and data entry.
  • Use knowledge of Donor Perfect to improve donation processes.
  • Leverage skills in the non-profit sector to enhance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of donors and donations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Continually seek ways to improve donation and database management systems.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or accounting role.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience with account reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Donor Perfect and managing donations is preferred, but candidates with non-profit experience or tech-savvy skills to learn the program are also considered.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
