About the position
We are seeking a Trust Accounting Clerk for a prestigious law firm located in Brickell, Miami. This full-time position involves maintaining trust accounting records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. After three months, the role will transition to a hybrid model, allowing for one day of remote work each week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain trust accounting records, including client investments
- Communicate with internal and external personnel
- Prepare reports and organize and maintain files
- Prepare and process wire transfers
- Create and post cash receipts
- Disbursements for all trust transactions
- Adhere to banking deadlines and coordinate with banking personnel
- Reconcile bank account transactions online daily
- Provide backup coverage to A/R Specialist and assist with ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Associate's degree
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to perform account reconciliation
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused.
