About the position

The Part Time Accounting Clerk will support the daily operations of the accounts payable function by performing various clerical and routine tasks. This role is essential for ensuring accurate processing of invoices and maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, open, and distribute mail
  • Print and distribute invoices
  • Assist with preparing the accounts payable check run as needed
  • File accounting documents, records, and reports
  • Copy or scan documents
  • Assist with reviewing and coding invoices as needed
  • Assist with basic data entry on spreadsheets as needed
  • Assist with addressing and responding to both internal and vendor inquiries as needed
  • Assist with investigating and resolving problems associated with payment discrepancies and inquiries as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High degree of attention to detail, thoroughness, and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Office
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
