The Accounting Clerk at Dental Claim Support plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in various financial transactions. This position involves monitoring and processing client payments, client invoicing, and contributing to collections tracking, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The role is essential for the organization's fiscal responsibility and strategic planning, providing accurate financial data and facilitating efficient payment processing.

Responsibilities

  • Categorize financial activity by coding transactions in financial systems for accurate reporting.
  • Perform new client setups within key financial systems as part of the onboarding process.
  • Partner with Operations to provide elite services to clients regarding financial matters.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Support ACH payment transactions and client invoicing processes.
  • Provide support in preparing financial statements and reports, aiding in the analysis of financial data.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Aid in providing financial data to support the budgeting process and assist in financial trend analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is desirable.
  • Ability to assist in analyzing financial data and trends for decision-making support.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and conveying financial information accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for accuracy in financial records and payment processing.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving financial regulations and technology changes.
