About the position
We are seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to support our accounting department in Conover, North Carolina. This role involves performing various day-to-day tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department and maintain accurate financial records, focusing on accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and managing ledgers
- Conducting bank reconciliations and creating daily bank journal entries
- Overseeing sales tax reporting and coordinating sales tax across various states in compliance with regulations
- Monitoring and updating daily bank cash flow
- Ensuring pricing accuracy and conducting accrued purchases reconciliation
- Assisting in inventory receiving and managing fixed assets
- Setting up new accounts receivable and payable customers
- Providing support and backup in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Utilizing strong communication skills to interact with various teams, including sales and customer service
- Applying strong analytical skills to locate and correct errors, and utilizing logic and research skills to resolve issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in Billing procedures
- Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently
- Experience with Invoice Processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Netsuite financial software
- Experience with QuickBooks software
