About the position

Our accounting team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our bookkeeping operations, focusing on our AI-driven bookkeeping and tax products. This role involves managing accounting tasks and ensuring seamless operations through timely and accurate data entry and processing tasks. This role is pivotal in supporting Uplinq's mission to redefine decision-making in bookkeeping and to provide revolutionary, AI-enhanced bookkeeping solutions that simplify the process, increase accuracy, and deliver superior outcomes for small businesses.

Responsibilities

• Calculates and processes invoices, reports, account statements, purchase orders, and payroll.
• Enters, verifies and reconciles accounting transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
• Records information, processes and files forms.
• Investigates and resolves discrepancies.
• Assists in month-end reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Has experience in handling payroll or bookkeeping tasks, especially accounts receivable/payable work.
• Is familiar with accounting tools and systems such as POS system, QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• 3-5 years in both cash and accrual based accounting systems clerical work, with a preference for those with multi-client experience.
• Possesses strong communication skills to interact with clients, answer questions, gather information, and explain bookkeeping data clearly.
