About the position

The Accounting Clerk position at Robert Half involves managing various financial tasks within the financial department. The role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, contributing to the overall efficiency of the company's financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records accurately, including invoices, payments, receipts, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduct regular ledger and bank statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare payments by validating documentation, issuing checks, and initiating wire transfers.
  • Track and monitor financial discrepancies by thoroughly checking financial documents and postings.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Help to streamline and improve the company's financial systems and processes.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other teams to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Ensure compliance with state revenue service and other relevant bodies.
  • Provide clerical support to the accounting department.

Requirements

  • Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an accounting or finance department.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting software programs.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are highly prerequisite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
