About the position

The Accounting Clerk at Thompson Pipe Group will play a vital role in supporting the organization's financial operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a team environment and contribute to problem-solving efforts to meet deadlines. The role involves various bookkeeping functions and requires accuracy in data entry and processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform general bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Organize and file financial documents and cash receipts.
• Process lien waivers and make daily bank deposits.
• Record receipt of goods in the system.
• Assist in reviewing inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Research and respond to vendor and customer inquiries promptly.
• Support the month-end and year-end financial close process.
• Assist accounting management with information requests from internal and external parties.

Requirements

• Competent in GAAP Accounting Principles.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
• Data entry and word processing skills.
• Excellent math ability and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma; further education is a plus.
