About the position

The Accounting Coordinator II is responsible for performing various accounting tasks that require strong analytical skills and attention to detail. This role involves account reconciliations, preparing reports, and data entry, all while working under direct supervision. The position is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the accounting team during high-volume periods or special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Complete necessary month close procedures, such as creating/posting journal entries and preparing reporting schedules.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Input data timely and accurately to keep the system updated.
  • Develop and update desk procedures for tasks performed.
  • Assist team members with various tasks during high volumes and special projects.
  • Monitor email communications and resolve payment issues with suppliers.
  • Review invoices for proper coding.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in an Accounting Department and office setting in a large company required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
