About the position

The Accounting Coordinator II is responsible for performing various accounting tasks that require strong analytical skills and attention to detail. This remote position involves account reconciliations, preparing reports, and data entry, all while working under direct supervision. The role requires a good understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete necessary month close procedures, such as creating/posting journal entries and preparing reporting schedules.
  • Complete data input timely and accurately to ensure relevant information is updated within the system.
  • Develop/update desk procedures for tasks performed.
  • Assist team members with various tasks during high volume periods or special projects.
  • Monitor email communications and work with suppliers to resolve payment issues.
  • Review invoices for proper coding.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in an Accounting Department and office setting in a large company required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
  • Extremely reliable, timely, and consistent.
  • Open to taking direction and coachable.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
