About the position

The Accounting Coordinator at Hubbard Broadcasting plays a crucial role in supporting the market controller and business manager with various accounting tasks. This position involves managing accounts receivable and payable, processing deposits, and handling collections while adhering to industry standards and company policies. The role requires in-office attendance from Monday to Friday and emphasizes attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the market controller and business manager with accounting responsibilities including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Input cash receipts and distribute aging reports to account managers.
• Assist with collections and billing as needed, including making collection calls and sending statements to clients on past due accounts.
• Recommend accounts to be placed with outside collections agency.
• Forward checks to lockbox for deposit and approve credit on sales orders in the Marketron system.
• Manage cash advance clients and review reports to correct orders prior to billing.
• Scan invoices to the Market Controller and order office and break room supplies.
• Open and distribute mail for the business office and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two plus years post high school education, GED, or equivalent in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Marketron traffic system is a plus.
• Extremely detailed, highly organized, and excellent analytical skills required.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately and meet deadlines under pressure situations.
• Proven experience working in an environment that requires maintaining confidentiality of information.

• Experience with Marketron traffic system.
