About the position

The Accounting / Finance Intern position at CRST offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the accounting and finance fields while contributing to the company's success. Interns will work on projects that create value for stakeholders, apply classroom concepts in real-world scenarios, and develop professional skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, matching principle, and accrual principle.
• Support and exposure to accounts receivable and payable transactional accounting.
• Assist in analyzing data and documentation to detect discrepancies and trends using analytical tools.
• Develop workpapers to document audit work performed under supervision.
• Prepare audit findings and recommendations for improvement with guidance from audit staff.
• Participate in meetings with key stakeholders to observe and contribute.
• Work with various departments to develop effective communication skills.
• Present a capstone project to Senior Business Leaders at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Pursuing a business-related 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Junior-level college student majoring in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or similar.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above.
• Strong technical acumen and desire for a career in Accounting/Finance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop alternative solutions and work well in problem-solving situations.
• Self-starter with high personal motivation and initiative.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and loyalty.
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
