About the position

The Accounting and Finance Intern at Kreg Tool will support the Finance team during a 12-week summer internship, providing hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting. This role is designed for students pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, offering opportunities to develop skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to the company's financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the finance team to analyze and interpret financial data, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of financial tools and models that support strategic business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth evaluations of financial performance by comparing actual results against forecasts, identifying trends, and presenting meaningful insights.
• Play an active role in the monthly financial close process, involving tasks such as posting journal entries and reconciling accounts related to fixed assets, accrued expenses, and other key accounting areas.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects by providing financial expertise and analysis to help drive informed decisions.
• Work cross functionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
• Collaborate on ad hoc projects and assignments to further develop your skills and contribute to the broader goals of the team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Ability to work a 12-week internship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
