About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Shaner Hotels will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources for the property, which is part of the new Hotel Celare development in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic professional who is personable and possesses excellent communication skills. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, safety and health initiatives, and training activities. This role demands a hands-on approach to staff relations, acting as an objective third party in problem-solving and conflict situations. The HR Manager will also be involved in payroll and benefits administration, which is a significant aspect of the role. Experience in these areas is highly desirable, as the HR Manager will need to ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws while maintaining superior interpersonal and confidentiality skills. In addition to human resources responsibilities, the HR Manager may also assist with accounting tasks. These tasks include invoice processing, record keeping, account reconciliation, and assisting with billing and documentation. The HR Manager will need to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all HR functions are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all recruitment processes for the property.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of human resources experience.
  • High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree, or Human Resources certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Superior interpersonal and confidentiality skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clean driving record.
