About the position
The Accounting Intern position at Hubbell Incorporated is part of the Summer Internship Program, designed for students to gain corporate experience and learn about various aspects of the business. This 10 to 12-week program allows interns to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, develop technical skills, and engage in comprehensive projects while working closely with experienced Finance and Accounting teams.
Responsibilities
- Support experienced Finance/Accounting teams in performance of assignments
- Shadow actual operations to gain insights into the business
- Review current program activities and make recommendations for improvements
- Perform accounting data entry functions as needed
- Assist in audit preparation and process documentation
- Participate in fixed asset inventory across multiple sites
- Engage in record retention review and other assigned duties
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university as a Junior or Senior
- Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related degree
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
