About the position

The Accounting Intern position at PIM Brands, Inc. offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Plant Finance Department of a leading confectionery company. This internship is designed for rising juniors pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, providing exposure to various accounting functions and processes within a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for month-end closing
• Perform variance analysis on select accounts
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to accounting subledgers
• Review purchase requisitions and assign proper GL/department coding
• Conduct walkthroughs and perform interviews to understand plant processes and internal controls
• Verify journal mapping for the new ERP system

Requirements

• Rising Junior in college/university, pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Strong business acumen and analytical ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organization skills
• Self-motivated and bias for action
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated personal and professional values
