About the position
The Accounting Intern position at Intergraph Corporation offers students a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting within a global organization. The intern will assist with various financial activities under the supervision of experienced professionals, focusing on tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, and fixed asset management.
Responsibilities
- Utilize financial systems to perform tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets
- Prepare standard and nonstandard journal entries and perform general ledger account analysis
- Provide documentation and support for external auditors as needed
- Apply customer payments, follow up on outstanding issues, and assist with revenue recognition for customer orders
- Prepare customer invoices and ensure accurate general ledger account distributions
- Support the tracking and accounting of fixed asset purchases, depreciation records, and periodic physical audits
- Make journal entries, load data into the global database, and perform financial statement analysis
- Collaborate with other entities to address and resolve reporting issues
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks, Costpoint, or OneStream is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting field
