About the position
aiTWorks, an employment agency, is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join a Japanese food manufacturer located in Santa Fe Springs, California. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $25, depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, which may also include some general affairs tasks, in collaboration with the current accounting team of three members. The company prides itself on providing a supportive environment for individuals with less accounting experience, allowing them to learn the job thoroughly. Candidates are encouraged to ask questions and seek clarification from senior employees to enhance their understanding of accounting practices. Given the small size of the management department, the role may extend beyond traditional accounting duties, requiring a willingness to take on a variety of tasks and collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive work atmosphere. To qualify for this position, candidates must have more than one year of accounting experience, possess business-level English and conversational Japanese skills, and have legal work status in the United States. Additionally, candidates must either hold a valid U.S. driver's license or have plans to obtain one. This role is not remote and requires working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekends and public holidays off, and includes a one-hour break during the workday.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including general affairs tasks.
- Collaborate with the current accounting staff of three members.
- Support and mentor less experienced accounting staff.
- Research and ask questions to clarify doubts regarding accounting practices.
- Take on a variety of tasks beyond just accounting as needed.
- Work together with colleagues to foster a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- More than 1 year of accounting experience.
