About the position

The Accounting Leadership Development Program Intern at AT&T offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance over a 10-to-12 week summer internship. Interns will work closely with top financial decision-makers, gaining insights into corporate finance while contributing to various accounting disciplines. This role emphasizes practical application of accounting concepts, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exposure to complex financial processes, including Mergers & Acquisitions and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts.
• Analyze monthly financial reporting and communicate results to managers and senior leaders.
• Manage the legal entity monthly reporting process.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and Finance teams.
• Utilize accounting and analytical knowledge to improve monthly processes.
• Provide accounting support for complex Merger & Acquisition activities.
• Implement new applicable ASC regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Earned a Traditional or Accelerated Master's degree in Accounting or Finance by June 2026.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Teams, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to relocate to Dallas, TX.
