The Accounting Manager position at United HVAC is designed for an individual with 3-5 years of experience in construction accounting. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing payroll, and ensuring compliance with various accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate will manage the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and support insurance-related requirements, while also coordinating external audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a balanced general ledger
• Run payroll and file payroll taxes
• Handle union filings
• Generate contractor requisitions
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable/collections
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Provide support for insurance-related requirements (i.e., bid bonds, performance bonds, COIs)
• Coordinate external annual audits

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in construction accounting
• Knowledge of Excel, CF Data, and Spectrum
