About the position

The Accounting Manager position at a forward-thinking real estate investment firm in San Francisco involves overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting for investment vehicles. Responsibilities

  • Conduct cash analysis for investment vehicles on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Approve payables and manage expenditure workflows across various systems (NEXUS, Paymode-X/Kyriba, MRI).
  • Handle internal and external inquiries as needed.
  • Oversee monthly account roll-ups, reconciliations, and Flash Report preparation for investment vehicles.
  • Lead quarterly close processes, prepare financial statements, and manage investor reporting.
  • Coordinate annual audit and tax preparation, including responding to related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate, development or multi-family spaces or real estate private equity.
  • Ability to assess and apply accounting standards to significant transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to foster a positive team environment.
  • Highly organized, flexible, and diligent in follow-up tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with MRI and Juniper Square.
