About the position

The Accounting Manager/Controller position at Ardent Services LLC is a principal-level role focused on overseeing the accounting functions within a well-established company in the electrical and instrumentation service industry. The role involves managing financial reporting, compliance, and internal audits while ensuring the accuracy of financial data and the protection of the organization's assets. Responsibilities

• Calculate journal entries with data from system-generated reports or other sources for a variety of general ledger accounts.
• Maintain reconciliations for a variety of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, cash forecasting, monthly accruals, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax filings.
• Create and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
• Monitor and protect the organization's assets and financial condition.
• Collaborate daily with payroll, HR, AR, AP, Job Costing, banking, and general ledger teams.
• Conduct internal audits from the parent company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Advanced Excel experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other departments within the organization.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Five to ten years of professional experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista Trimble Software is a plus.
