About the position

The Accounting Manager at SSC Services for Education will oversee three teams responsible for accounts payable processing, work order billing, and internal customer support. This role involves managing the accounting staff, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and driving process improvements within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage three teams responsible for AP processing, work order billing, and internal customer support.
  • Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Ensure compliance of periodic financial reports with financial reporting standards.
  • Present recommendations to management on process standardization and streamlining.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation to support upcoming growth.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
