About the position

The Accounting Manager/CPA will oversee the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and corporate policies while managing the monthly closing of accounts and preparation of financial reports. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a proactive approach to drive results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies.
  • Oversee the monthly closing of accounts and preparation of financial reports in support of the financial statements.
  • Supervise accounting staff, including at least 3 direct reports.
  • Research, understand, and apply government accounting regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for multiple entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Preferably a CPA certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Ability to supervise accounting staff with prior supervision of at least 3 direct reports.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
