About the position

The Accounting Manager for Customer Master at Western Digital is responsible for overseeing the global process of customer master record creation. This role involves managing a team and ensuring the day-to-day operations of customer master setup align with the needs of Business Operations and Sales Operations teams. The position requires collaboration with various departments, including Revenue Accounting, Reporting, and IT, to maintain accurate customer reporting hierarchies and key attributes for financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the global process for customer master record creation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of customer master setup to support Business Operations and Sales Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Accounting and Reporting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Work with business partners from BU Finance, Sales Operations, Trade Compliance, and IT teams to manage customer reporting hierarchies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in customer master manager roles and revenue/accounting roles in high tech or similar industries.
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytics aptitude required.
  • Experience in managing global offshore resources.
  • Experience in SAP and Oracle Cloud environments is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
