About the position

The Accounting Manager - Daily Sales is a pivotal role within Aramark, responsible for ensuring that the quality of products and services meets or exceeds customer expectations. This position emphasizes the development of team members and the identification of strategies to enhance customer service quality. The Accounting Manager will implement best practices across all operational levels, ensuring that the team is aligned with the company's mission and goals. In this role, the Accounting Manager will maintain compliance with wage and hour regulations for local employees, conduct necessary new hire paperwork, and manage employee files for on-site personnel. The position also involves coordinating payroll functions and overseeing check distribution. The Accounting Manager will assist leadership with special projects and will be accountable for maintaining and developing client relationships to grow the business and improve account retention. The role requires the Accounting Manager to conduct business reviews and key interactions with clients in the local market. They will analyze business performance using planning data and recommend strategies to address operational opportunities, including optimizing route sales growth, pricing actions, product inventory management, waste reduction, and labor cost management. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling both management staff and front-line personnel to ensure ongoing support and development. Effective communication at all organizational levels is crucial, and the Accounting Manager will ensure that daily operations are maintained as scheduled. The position may require flexibility, as job duties can change or new responsibilities may be assigned without formal notice. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and follow all wage & hour compliance for local employees
  • Conduct all required new hire paperwork and maintain employee files for employees on-site
  • Coordinate payroll functions and check distribution
  • Assist leadership on special projects
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to grow base business and improve retention of account base
  • Accountable for business reviews and key interactions with key clients within the local market
  • Review and analyze business performance using plan data and recommend decisions/approaches to address key operational opportunities
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling management staff and front-line personnel
  • Optimize core processes and positively influence client relationships and business opportunities
  • Own and foster effective communication at all levels of the organization
  • Ensure daily operations are maintained as scheduled

Requirements

  • At least five years' experience in operations management in a related field
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • High energy level that is communicated to the team and exhibits a proven track record for growing business
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to lead in a diverse environment with a focus on client and guest service
  • Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
