We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our client's dynamic accounting team in Council Bluffs. As the Accounting Manager, you will be the cornerstone of their financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of daily accounting transactions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Payroll, and Administrative Support. You will oversee and direct a dedicated team, provide essential financial guidance to the staff, and manage crucial tax returns and reporting tasks for multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all accounting transactional and administrative staff.
• Prepare and submit monthly union reports and contributions.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use and payroll tax returns.
• Generate and manage various financial reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
• Renew and manage all company master contractor licenses.
• Perform cash management tasks and reconciliations.
• Provide clear direction and support to employees on accounting matters.
• Assist management by gathering information and researching financial issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of comprehensive experience in transactional accounting, including AP, AR, Billing, Payroll, Taxes, Sales/Use Taxes, and General Ledger. A BSBA in Accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective team-building and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
