About the position

The position involves planning, organizing, leading, and controlling daily operations within the hospitality department. The role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, overseeing financial reporting, and managing a team to drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, lead, and control daily work and operations of specific projects.
  • Drive day-to-day operations without directing company policy or mission.
  • Manage multiple employees and interact directly with them.
  • Oversee, train, discipline, and evaluate employees frequently.
  • Review, produce, and ensure accuracy of hospitality entity financials.
  • Oversee hospitality accounts payable processes.
  • Handle administrative functions related to hospitality accounting software.
  • Serve as a key resource for the hospitality operations team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Accounting for a clean and timely audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinate information for external auditors and the tax department.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • MRI experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
