About the position

The Accounting Manager for Income Taxes at Air Products is responsible for leading a team of Tax Analysts to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and disclosure of income taxes in the Company's SEC filings. This role focuses on managing global provision impacts related to evolving global taxation schemes and overseeing the global portfolio of tax reserves. The position is ideal for a candidate with a strong skillset in income tax accounting and the ability to interact with senior leaders, offering opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the income tax provision reporting for global tax reserves and US international tax provisions.
• Collect, review, and prepare monthly income tax provisions related to global tax issues.
• Perform detailed reviews of income tax provisions and deferred tax account reconciliations.
• Analyze and provide tax accounting guidance for complex transactions, including acquisitions and tax restructuring activities.
• Perform analytical reviews of global provision impacts for internal and external reporting purposes.
• Provide guidance on enhancements to processes, controls, and utilization of income tax accounting software.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and processes to ensure SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA required; Masters of Tax is a plus.
• At least 7 years of work experience in a US-multinational tax or technical accounting role.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience at a global accounting firm or multinational corporation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, project management ability, and analytical skills.
• Experience with income tax accounting software, preferably OneSource.
