About the position

The Accounting Manager - Integration will play a pivotal role within the Corporate Finance organization, primarily focusing on the preparation and review of financial statements and the onboarding of new acquisitions. This remote position requires a candidate with exceptional financial competence, strong business acumen, and robust organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis tools and techniques, along with exceptional communication abilities. The role demands an individual who can effectively balance the challenges of a rapidly growing and complex environment, demonstrating self-sufficiency and confidence in steering the company towards its long-term business objectives. In this position, the Accounting Manager will assist with the opening balance sheet, documentation, and accounting conversion for new acquisitions. They will ensure that appropriate documentation is maintained for all transactions and correspondence. The manager will review monthly balance sheets, journal entries, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy during the onboarding accounting period for acquisitions. Additionally, they will research and resolve any open items identified during the review of financial statements and will be responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to standardize key finance processes. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running upon closing to execute the accounting plan effectively. Supervisory duties will include reviewing detailed journal entries and monthly closing entries prepared by accountants, conducting department orientation and training sessions, delegating assignments and projects, mentoring new and current accountants, and evaluating employee performance. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for responding to and finding solutions to problems within the department, all under the supervision of the Director of Integration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with opening balance sheet, documentation, and accounting conversion for new acquisitions
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate documentation for all transactions, correspondence etc.
  • Review monthly balance sheets, journal entries, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy during the onboarding accounting period for acquisitions
  • Research and resolve open items from reviewing financial statements
  • Identify and implement opportunities to standardize key finance processes
  • Hit the ground running upon closing to execute accounting plan
  • Review detailed journal entries and monthly closing entries prepared by accountants
  • Conduct department orientation and training sessions
  • Delegate assignments and projects
  • Mentor new and current accountants
  • Evaluate employees to acknowledge good work and take disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Respond to and find solutions to problems within the department

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related accounting experience preferred
  • Accounting, M&A and/or finance background preferred
  • Experience with accounting for new acquisitions (opening balance sheet, accounting conversion)
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task, self-motivated, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, math or related required
  • MBA or CPA highly preferred
  • Experience working with different stakeholders across various functions within the company
  • Interest in rapid ability to prepare decision-support analysis on a range of issues related to financial performance, business planning, strategic opportunities, and business case analysis
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Healthcare, hospital, ASC and joint venture experience highly preferred
