About the position

The Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations of a real estate investment firm, managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong leadership in financial management and coordination with auditors and tax accountants, while also supporting cash analysis and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various duties to support the monthly, quarterly and annual close process.
  • Manage daily/weekly cash analysis at the investment vehicle level and respond to relevant queries.
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation.
  • Oversee the preparation of various financial reports including monthly flash reports and ad hoc reports for investors.
  • Coordinate annual audits, prepare financial packages for auditors and tax accountants; be the point of contact for their inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with minimum of 5 years working experience, preferably in real estate, private equity, or financial services.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with preference for those with MRI and Juniper Square experiences.
  • Solid understanding of partnership/fund accounting concepts and legal agreements (LP Agreements, LLC Agreements, Loan Agreements).
  • Strong decision-making, organizational skills, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
