In this role, you will assist the Accounting and Reporting Department by leading various aspects of the month-end and quarter-end close processes. You will be responsible for producing accurate and complete IFRS financial statements and managing G/L account reconciliations and balances on a monthly basis. Additionally, you will oversee the income tax compliance process, ensuring timely filings and coordination with external accounting and tax firms, as well as managing the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely processing of invoices. This position requires on-site work five days a week, reflecting our commitment to collaboration and teamwork in an open-space workplace designed to foster interaction and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist accounting/finance management with the compilation and production of financial statements and disclosures under IFRS.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable function ensuring timely processing of invoices.
  • Manage the Income Statement General Ledger account balances pursuant to IFRS standards.
  • Perform and supervise G/L account reconciliations.
  • Develop journal entries (e.g., period-end accruals) to adjust G/L account balances applying accounting knowledge and recorded account activity of the period.
  • Assist with the review and/or posting of journal entries.
  • Assist with producing KPIs and other financial and operational metrics.
  • Assist with the period-end closing process, including tracking and updating schedules and organizing activity to be shared within the accounting group.
  • Manage communication with other departments and cost centers to procure information essential to accounting duties and the financial reporting process.
  • Assist with the Fixed Asset (PP&E) tracking and depreciation schedules.
  • Manage the entity's income tax compliance.
  • Participate in the year-end audit efforts.
  • Supervise assigned accountants, including time off requests.
  • Assist with department organization and training.
  • May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Master's in Accounting or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of corporate financial reporting or public accounting audit experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years managing people and/or a function.
  • Working knowledge and application of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Past experience performing variance analysis of financial account data and account reconciliations.
  • Past Accounts Payable experience, prior oversight preferred.
  • Experience performing income tax returns for corporations (working knowledge necessary).
  • Past experience compiling financial statements under IFRS or US GAAP, including producing supporting schedules and disclosure statements.
  • Experience accounting for Fixed Assets.
  • Ability to demonstrate and perform effective communication (written and verbal).
  • Experience with SAP HANA S/4 and Tipalti is preferred.
