About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in SYOSSET, New York. The role involves managing and supervising accounting functions in a diverse industry setting. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in their work, and will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial systems and processes. This position requires a proactive approach to managing customer credit applications and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will also be responsible for addressing customer inquiries and monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. In addition to overseeing the processing of customer credit applications, the Accounting Manager/Supervisor will manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment and billing. The role will also involve utilizing accounting software systems and ERP solutions to manage and analyze financial data, perform regular audits of financial documents, and generate financial reports using Microsoft Excel and other MS Dynamics AX tools. This position is critical to the financial health of the organization and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage and maintain customer credit records, ensuring they are up to date and accurate
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts or applications
  • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Utilize accounting software systems to manage and analyze financial data
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in all accounting functions
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment and billing
  • Utilize ERP solutions to manage and integrate the company's financial data
  • Perform regular auditing of financial documents and procedures
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other MS Dynamics AX tools for financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in accounting
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
  • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Skilled in Auditing procedures
  • Proficiency in Billing Functions
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
